Project Overview

The Green Build was the largest project in the history of San Diego International Airport. It was called “The Green Build” due to the Airport Authority’s commitment to sustainability and the environment.

The San Diego “Green Build” consisted of 10 new gates to reduce terminal congestion, enhanced curbside check-in facilities, a dual-level roadway, and more security lanes, an expanded concession area and the nation’s largest airport USO Center.
